Plastic Cutters : Hearts and Cherubs - 'Tappit' Cutter Set - FMM Small cutters perfect for side designs Consists of 5 Hearts, 3 Cherubs, 2 Stars. All FMM cutters come with clear instructions for making. (several shapes on a plastic strip!) For best results, use Mexican modelling paste - these cutters are not suitable for sugarpaste (e.g. regalice) alone. Take a small piece of paste knead it well, roll into a smooth ball, then roll out. Roll the paste out thinly on a workboard with a little icing sugar or better still, White vegetable fat (Trex or White Flora are both good). Press the cutter down hard onto the icing, and slide slightly from side to side while pushing down, to ensure a clean cut. If the paste gets stuck in the cutter it is usually because the icing has not been rolled out thinly enough. You can force the icing out of the cutter by tapping it hard on the workboard, or bench (the trade name for the fmm cutters is 'tappits').
