Delivery of your order
We aim to deliver your order within 3-7 working days. Please allow extra time for Highlands, Islands and Northen Ireland
If all your items are in stock we normally despatch orders in 1-3 days working days
Please note we do not despatch on Saturdays or Sundays
Delivery times stated are estimates only. Cake-Links Ltd cannot be held responsible for Postal or Courier delays outside of our control.
Delivery charges are added at the end of your order, these are based on the estimated weight of your order. We weigh all our items, but if your order is heavier than we estimated we will pay the difference!
Postage and Packing
Our Postage and Packing Rates are as follows.
Postage and Packing starts at a minimum of £1.99
Maximum Weight 250g £1.99, 500g £2.99
1kg £3.99, 1.5kg £4.99
2kg £5.99, 4kg £7.99
6kg £8.99, 8kg £9.99
10kg £10.99, 20kg £12.99
Delivery charges are added at the end of your order, these are to cover the posting and packaging of an entire order to one address on one occasion to the address supplied at the time of order.
A surcharge of £6.00 will be made to Highland and Island orders in accordance with extra charges levied by our carriers to the following Postal Codes BT, HS, IM, IV, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, TR21-25, ZE
Surcharge applies to orders over approximately 1.25kg
Undeliverable Orders
If a parcel is unable to be delivered by our carriers, an additional charge will be made to cover reposting the order to you. An example of this may be;
The address supplied by you is incorrect or incomplete.
The parcel is returned by the carrier when they have attempted delivery and failed, and the you have not arranged a redelivery or collection from the carrier.
The customer requests a change of delivery address after the parcel has been sent.
The charge for resending orders within the UK is the same as the original postal charge.(plus Highlands and Islands surcharge if applicable).
If Cake-Links Ltd is unable to contact you to make arrangements for redelivering a parcel, then it will be held at our Christchurch Shop for collection for a maximum of 14 days. If the order is not collected, we cancel the order and refund the cost of your goods, less the delivery charge.
Delivery Address
In order to aid fraud prevention, first order deliveries will only be made to the cardholder's address. You can contact our sales team on 01202 496249 to change the delivery address for your future orders. Change of delivery address is at the discretion of our sales team.
Registered Deliveries
Parcels and packages are normally sent via recorded/registered postal service or courier service.
Damages If you parcel arrives damaged or appears to have been tampered with, please do not accept delivery and ask the delivery driver to return to sender, do not sign for the delivery. Please contact us, in order for us to contact our carrier to discuss the problem, so that we can prevent it happening again.
Refunds and Returned Goods
Consumables (e.g some edible powders, icing, sugar decorations), opened CD's, DVD's, Videos and cut ribbons, are not subjct to our 7 day cooling off period for returns.
We want you to be delighted with your purchases from us. If your goods do not arrive in perfect condition, simply follow the instructions below. To help us sort out any problems as quickly as possible please use the following steps :-
i. Inform us of your complaint by e-mail as soon as possible, or at least within 7 days of receiving your order
ii. At our request, you agree to return the goods in question to reach us preferably within 14 days of the date you originally received them. For your own protection when returning items, please use recorded delivery - retaining your Post Office Recorded Delivery slip and receipt - since we cannot process claims until the goods are back in our possession.
iii. You should pre-pay the cost of return postage and packing including recorded delivery. We will refund this cost to you providing we are satisfied that the goods were of unsatisfactory quality when dispatched or were damaged in transit.
Refunds will only be paid by means of original payment. We cannot refund onto another card issuer's credit or debit card. Refunds will only be given on receipt of returned goods.
