Cake-Links Delivery Information
Orders are usually shipped same working day, when placed before 1pm for courier orders, or next day for UK standard orders (Working days are Monday-Friday excluding UK public holidays),
A confirmation e-mail is automatically sent when you place your order, if you don't receive this, it's a good idea to check your junk or spam folders, it it's not there just call us so we can check.
You can choose from the following options, at the checkout;
Click and Collect – This is an option to buy your goods online and collect in store, at our Christchurch, Dorset Store. When you collect you will be asked for ID / proof the order belongs to you. Uncollected Orders will be held at Cake-Links for 14 days before being refunded.
UK 1st class Signed For– With Standard UK delivery, your goods will normally be sent Royal Mail Signed For. We find this to be a very fast, reliable service, with the vast majority of parcels arriving 1 to 3 working days after dispatch, most of our UK Mainland customers receive within two working days (not guaranteed). Your order will need to be signed for.
We reserve the right to occasionally upgrade customers, free of charge, to our courier service. Shipping starts from £3.99 - costs will be shown at the checkout. Often UK courier is cheaper - both prices are displayed at the checkout.
UK 2nd class Signed For – With Standard UK delivery, your goods will normally be sent Royal Mail Signed For. We find this to be a very reliable service, with the vast majority of parcels arriving 2 to 5 working days after dispatch, most of our UK Mainland customers receive within three working days (not guaranteed). Your order will need to be signed for.
We reserve the right to occasionally upgrade customers, free of charge, to our courier service. Shipping starts from £3.80 - costs will be shown at the checkout. Often UK courier is cheaper - both prices are displayed at the checkout.
UK Mainland Free – If you spend over £30, the UK options will automatically set to £0.00 - be sure to select this if you would like free delivery. We reserve the right to send your order by any of our carrier services.
Please note that a signature is required for all our delivery methods, so please ensure that there will be someone at home to take delivery, or have it delivered to work (optional at the checkout), or in the comments box, tell us which neighbour you'd like us to leave your parcel with.
* (Unfortunately Scottish Highlands and some outlying islands of the UK may experience longer delivery times - this is purely down to logistics, we are on the south coast of England and it's a long way to the Scottish Islands You can check the delivery guarantee to your specific postcode on the Royal Mail website.

Collect Plus We have suspended the Collect Plus service at the moment due to non delivery issues, we apologise for the inconvenience while we investigate another option.
Royal Mail International – Our standard delivery to the European Union is by Royal Mail International Signed For, and normally takes 3-20 days. (Ireland Customers normally receive their orders within 3 working days.) Shipping costs are calculated based on the weight of your goods, and starts from £6.50. You can see the exact cost of shipping in the checkout before you place your order. Excludes Cyprus and Monaco.
International Courier – We do offer an international courier service starting at £20 and can take 3-10 working days. A signature is required on delivery. International Courier Service excludes Cyprus and Monaco.
When will you send my order?
We run a live stock system, so if you place your order, it is normally all in stock ready for immediate dispatch, unless otherwise stated - (on the rare occasion that an item is not available we will contact you asap).
All orders placed by 1pm (Monday to Friday) will usually be dispatched the day after order.
Once your order is processed and dispatched, you will receive an e-mail with a tracking number for your parcel, so you can track it's progress.
UK 1st Class - usually arrives 2 to 3 working days after posting (Monday to Saturday) but this is not guaranteed. If you have not received your order after 4 working days, please contact us.
UK 2nd Class - usually arrives 3 to 5 working days after posting (Monday to Saturday) but this is not guaranteed. If you have not received your order after 5 working days, please contact us.
UK Courier - usually arrives the next working day after dispatch (Monday to Friday). Orders placed on Fridays before 1pm would not be delivered until Monday. Allow up to 7pm for your order to arrive, so if you order on a Monday allow all day for your parcel to arrive - though most courier deliveries are made much earlier than this.
UK Free - usually arrives the 2-3 working day after dispatch (Monday to Friday). Allow up to 7pm for your order to arrive, so if you order on a Monday allow all day for your parcel to arrive, Customers normally receive their orders within 3 working days.
The time taken to deliver packages sent outside of the UK will depend on the destination. The estimated time for delivery is as follows:
European Union - Royal Mail International Signed For – within 3 - 20 working days, Ireland Customers normally receive within 3 days
European Union - International Courier – within 2 - 20 working days, Ireland customers normally received within 2-3 days
How will my order be packaged?
We like to ensure that your parcel will arrive in the same good condition that it left us. We package in strong cardboard boxes, or mail bags, and we pack inside with air packs, bubble wrap and pretty pink tissue paper! We occasionally re-use boxes where appropriate, in order to help the environment, and any cardboard that we can't reuse is currently sent for recycling. So occasionally you may receive a box that looks a little rough on the outside, but will be perfect on the inside.
What if my order arrives damaged?
If your parcel arrives damaged or appears to have been tampered with, please do not accept delivery and ask the delivery driver to return to sender, do not sign for the delivery. Please contact us, so we can contact the carrier to discuss the problem, and prevent it happening again. Once the package has been returned, we can either issue a full refund (including p&p) or send out a replacement order.
What if my order doesn’t arrive?
It is extremely rare to lose a parcel.
Occasionally a parcel may be delayed for reasons beyond our control. If you think your parcel may be missing, please call us on 01202 496249. It is often worth checking if your parcel has been left with a neighbour, or returned to your local Royal Mail delivery office – even if no card has been left - as we always give you the tracking number you can check this easily online.
If you have paid for UK Courier shipping and your parcel has not arrived, please contact us by phone or email, so that we can find out what has happened - please note you need to allow up to 7pm on the expected delivery day, though most deliveries are made far earlier than this.
If you ordered using one of our International Services, please allow up to 20 working days before contacting us, however if you are in Ireland and your order hasn't arrived after 4 working days, please contact us asap, as generally parcels to Ireland arrive in just a few days from dispatch.
If a parcel is unable to be delivered by our carriers and is returned, the order will be cancelled and refunded, less the cost of the original postage and packing. An example of this may be where the address supplied by you is incorrect or incomplete. The parcel is returned by the carrier when they have attempted delivery and failed, and where you have not arranged a redelivery or collection from the carrier. (for example you were left a 'while you were out card' by Royal Mail, but did not collect the parcel or arrange re-delivery)
Consumables (e.g edible powders, all icings, all sugar decorations), opened CD's, DVD's, and cut ribbons, are not subject to our 7 day cooling off period for returns.
We want you to be delighted with your purchases from us. If your goods do not arrive in perfect condition, simply follow the instructions below.
To help us sort out any problems as quickly as possible please use the following steps :-
Inform us of your complaint, preferably by e-mail to email@example.com, as soon as possible, or at least within 7 days of receiving your order (Claims will not be accepted after 7 days)
At our request, you agree to return the goods in question to reach us preferably within 14 days of the date you originally received them. For your own protection when returning items, please use recorded delivery (Signed For) - retaining your Post Office Recorded Delivery (signed for) slip and receipt - since we cannot process claims until the goods are back in our possession.
You should pre-pay the cost of return postage and packing including recorded delivery. We will refund this cost to you providing we are satisfied that the goods were of unsatisfactory quality when dispatched or were damaged in transit on it's way to you. Refunds will only be paid by means of original payment. We cannot refund onto another card issuer's credit or debit card. Refunds will only be given on receipt of returned goods.
If you change your mind about your order, (you must notify us within 7 days) you can return your parcel to the address on the box, we will refund your order provided everything is as it was sent, unopened, unused, and undamaged. We will not refund your return postage.
