Cake-Links Delivery Information
All parcel prices are dependent on the weight of your order, prices are displayed at the checkout, as a guide our prices start at.
UK 2nd class - from £2.99
Orders are usually shipped next working day, when placed before 12pm for courier orders, (Working days are Monday-Friday excluding UK public holidays),
A confirmation e-mail is automatically sent when you place your order, if you don't receive this, it's a good idea to check your junk or spam folders, it it's not there just call us so we can check.
You can choose from the following options, at the checkout;
UK 1st Class – Fast and Reliable, most parcels arrive 1 to 3 working days after dispatch, most of our UK Mainland customers receive within two working days (not guaranteed).
UK 1st Class Signed For - The same delivery as above, but you will receive a tracking number and your order will need to be signed for.
UK 2nd Class – Fast and Reliable, most parcels arrive 2 to 5 working days after dispatch, most of our UK Mainland customers receive within three working days (not guaranteed).
UK 2nd Class Signed For - The same delivery as above, but you will receive a tracking number and your order will need to be signed for.
Click and Collect – Buy online and collect in store, at our Christchurch, Dorset Shop. When you collect you will be asked for ID / proof the order belongs to you. Uncollected Orders will be held at Cake-Links for 10 days before being refunded.
We reserve the right to occasionally upgrade customers, free of charge, to our courier service. Often UK courier is cheaper - all prices are displayed at the checkout.
Please note that a signature is required for courier and Royal Mail Signed for delivery methods, so please ensure that there will be someone at home to take delivery, or have it delivered to work (optional at the checkout), or in the comments box, tell us which neighbour you'd like us to leave your parcel with.
* (Unfortunately Scottish Highlands and some outlying islands of the UK may experience longer delivery times - this is purely down to logistics, we are on the south coast of England and it's a long way to the Scottish Islands You can check the delivery guarantee to your specific postcode on the Royal Mail website.
When will you send my order?
We run a live stock system, so if you place your order, it is normally all in stock ready for immediate dispatch, unless otherwise stated - (on the rare occasion that an item is not available we will contact you asap).
All orders placed by 12pm (Monday to Friday) will usually be dispatched the next working day.
Once your order is processed and dispatched, you will receive an e-mail.
UK 1st Class - usually arrives 2 to 3 working days after posting (Monday to Saturday) but this is not guaranteed. If you have not received your order after 4 working days, please contact us.
UK 2nd Class - usually arrives 3 to 5 working days after posting (Monday to Saturday) but this is not guaranteed. If you have not received your order after 5 working days, please contact us.
The time taken to deliver packages sent outside of the UK will depend on the destination.
How will my order be packaged?
We like to ensure that your parcel will arrive in the same good condition that it left us. We package in strong cardboard boxes, or mail bags, and we pack inside with air packs, bubble wrap and pretty tissue paper! We occasionally re-use boxes where appropriate, in order to help the environment, and any cardboard that we can't reuse is currently sent for recycling. So occasionally you may receive a box that looks a little rough on the outside, but will be perfect on the inside.
What if my order arrives damaged?
If your parcel arrives damaged or appears to have been tampered with, please do not accept delivery and ask the delivery driver to return to sender, do not sign for the delivery. Please contact us, so we can contact the carrier to discuss the problem, and prevent it happening again. Once the package has been returned, we can either issue a full refund (including p&p) or send out a replacement order.
What if my order doesn’t arrive?
It is extremely rare to lose a parcel.
Occasionally a parcel may be delayed for reasons beyond our control. If you think your parcel may be missing, please call us on 01202 496249. It is often worth checking if your parcel has been left with a neighbour, or returned to your local Royal Mail delivery office – even if no card has been left.
We keep records of proof of posting and signed for parcels.
If a parcel is unable to be delivered by our carriers and is returned, the order will be cancelled and refunded, less the cost of the original postage and packing. An example of this may be where the address supplied by you is incorrect or incomplete. The parcel is returned by the carrier when they have attempted delivery and failed, and where you have not arranged a re-delivery or collection from the carrier. (for example you were left a 'while you were out card' by Royal Mail, but did not collect the parcel or arrange re-delivery)
We are not accepting any returns on sale items.
