Sugarflair Blossom Tints

This superb range of dusting colours are used for dusting the edges of sugar flowers, and for painting with. To paint simply mix with either rejuvinator spirit, or a little clear alcohol such as vodka or gin, put some powder colour on a saucer or paint palette and add literally a tiny drop of alcohol, stir with a good quality paint brush (preferably sable) to make a thick paint. Alternatively use the powder dry for a softer finish, tip a little powder onto some kitchen paper, put your paint brush in the powder and dust off on the paper so there is no loose dust before applying to your cake or sugar decoration. The colour when applied dry will stick by itself to another sugar surface - not suitable for soft icings such as buttercream, fresh cream or soft pouring fondant.

I don't normally like renshaws icing for covering cakes, as I normally get elephant skin effect. But I thought I'd give it a go as I'd heard this one was very good. It was amazing, it rolled out nicely and when I covered the cake it went on with ease with no elephant skin. It tastes nice too. I will definitely be using this again, and would recommended it highly.
